The success of Amut

Considering his age, he has been a leader of Karang Taruna in his village. He also win some contests such as calligraphy contest, contest of mascot KPU, and java speech contest.

Besides, he joined to some organizations. They are Karang Taruna, Ikatan Pemuda Peduli Anak Bangsa, Rohis, IPNU, etc.

Taqin said there are some goals in his life. When he was child, he wanted to be artist while nowadays he wants to be character designer. In short, as book illustrator.

“I am very interested in artist when I was child. But now, since I am in visual art department, I am interested in character design and illustration,” he said.

In order to reach his goal, he receives order from consumer on field of art and design. He held art exhibition with his friends such as the exhibition of Pasar Branding, Metamorvisual and Pameran Angkatan.

Although he still receive order of art and design, he also make money by teaching extracurriculer of drawing and coloring. In addition, he is GTT (Guru Tidak Tetap) of TIK (Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi).

“Firstly, I am as a teacher of extracurriculer of drawing and coloring. But there is a teacher of TIK resigned from the school,” he said. “The headmaster of this school asked me to replace her position as TIK teacher.”

His career as a teacher does not give enough money, so he tries to make a course and translation. As a matter of fact, there are some obstacles in building it. Moreover, there is a student who deceives him by asking him to translate her final project and she does not pay the money.

“There is a student of IAIN Walisongo who ask me to translate her final project. In fact, she deceives me,” he says.

Since then, he tried to make money by other way. He made accessories such as  brooch. He sold it to his students and his friends. He did not open translation service anymore. However, his course grew well and many students from elementary school up to senior high school take private course in his course. He did it together with his close friends. He also has accessories shop which join with his sister.
